Collaborative Partnerships: Engaging with community organizations, government agencies, law enforcement, healthcare providers, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate services, share resources, and advocate for systemic changes that support survivors and prevent future violence.

Culturally Responsive Practices: Recognizing and respecting the diverse cultural backgrounds, identities, and experiences of survivors and ensuring that services are accessible, relevant, and responsive to their unique needs and preferences.

Empowerment and Self-Determination: Empowering survivors to make informed choices, set goals, and access the support and resources they need to regain control over their lives. This involves providing information, options, and opportunities for survivors to exercise autonomy and agency in their recovery process.

Prevention and Education: Promoting awareness, education, and prevention efforts to address the root causes of domestic violence, challenge harmful attitudes and beliefs, and promote healthy relationships and community norms.

A comprehensive list of individuals and organizations involved in various aspects related to domestic violence, victim advocacy, law enforcement, legal representation, mental health, social work, and nonprofit leadership within Chester County and beyond.

Sheriff of Chester County Sheriff’s Office: Ensures the safety and security of residents by overseeing law enforcement operations.

Sergeant, Victim Advocate at Chester County Sheriff’s Office: Midlands Regional Director of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Victim Advocate Association (SCLEVA) provides support and advocacy for crime victims within the Sheriff’s Office. South Carolina through ongoing education, as well as ensuring that they earn the accredited hours required for victim service providers.

Victim Advocate at City of Chester Police Department: Offers advocacy and resources to crime victims within the jurisdiction of the City of Chester Police Department.

Clerk of Court: Manages court records and administrative tasks, facilitating the efficient functioning of the judicial system, including cases related to domestic violence.

Battered But Not Broken Ministry: Provides comprehensive support to survivors, including women from prison, offering housing, drug treatment, reentry support, and recognizing multifaceted needs.

WGCD Radio Station: Contribute to community-focused content on their radio station, including segments on domestic violence and victim advocacy, raising awareness and promoting education.

Chester County Health Department: Promotes public health and may be involved in initiatives related to domestic violence prevention and support, offering resources and programs.

Lieutenant Criminal Investigation of Chester County Sheriff’s Office: Oversees criminal investigations, ensuring thorough efforts to address cases of domestic violence and hold perpetrators accountable.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSW, LCSWA: Provides mental health services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence, offering therapy, counseling, and support.

Mental Health Clinician LCSWA with CCPT: Offers a comprehensive therapy approach for trauma patients using both Cognitive Processing Therapy (CCPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These expertise as a mental health provider adds valuable support to the holistic approach taken by Catapult Outreach in addressing the complex needs of survivors of domestic violence.
